The future is wow

WOW BAO | BRAND MESSAGING, UPDATED LOOK & FEEL, BRAND GUIDELINES

Wow Bao, the vibrant Chicago-based restaurant brand, shifted its business strategy to fuel national expansion—offering bao and dumplings in grocery store freezers and through delivery. With the need to unify their messaging across diverse channels—restaurants, delivery kitchens, grocery, foodservice, and online—they partnered with us to redefine their brand story. Together, we built on their legacy of innovation, evolving Wow Bao from a restaurant to a snacking sensation synonymous with hot, steamy eats. Snack on Something Steamy.


Greens Under a Purple Sun

PURPLE SUNSHINE | NAMING, LOGO DESIGN, PACKAGING, COPYWRITING

When this agtech startup told us about their plans to grow hyper-local produce in shipping containers, we were in. Inspired by the 24-hour LED growing system of blue and red lights – which appear purple – (yay for the color theory nerds!) – we named the brand Purple Sunshine and worked to develop the hip and happy sprout character for the logo. Bright colors match the enthusiasm and hype we have for this new offering.

Reviving this old gumball brand for Ford Gum has been a real blast. From updating the brand logo and packaging to working with the Ford team on innovation items, we’ve been chew, chew, chewing. The redesign focused on pumping more fun into the brand and making it more relevant to the new kids on the block.


Wright for gifting

LA FOURNETTE | PACKAGING DESIGN

La Fournette macarons are authentically French, and uniquely Chicagoan. To celebrate this French American combination, we designed an up-scale gift box – inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, who is considered the “greatest American architect of all time”. This beautiful gift box is filled with a selection of their most popular flavors, based on season and availability. It’s not often that we get to work with a World Baking Champion a la Pierre Zimmermann. An experience we’ll cherish for sure!

 


Soup’s up!

WESTMINSTER BAKERS CO. | BRAND STRATEGY & DEFINITION, BRAND IDENTITY, PACKAGING DESIGN

It’s soup season! There’s a reason Chik-fil-A, Potbelly’s, Whole Foods, and a few other big chains sell Westminster Crackers, because they’re the best! And yep, we (re)designed this 196yo, iconic cracker brand!

Krissy’s film being nominated for awards!!! CHICAGO (written by Paul Oakley Stovall and directed by Krissy, starring Naima Mora & Kerry O’Malley) was nominated for Best Sci-Fi and Best First Time Director at the European Cinema & Film Festival and Honorable Mention Short Films at INFLUX Film Awards.
