We cranked out more proposals than ever (funny fact at end), did more consumer testing, visualized strategies… hey, it’s more than just pretty packaging—it’s the secret sauce that builds brands, drives sales, and sparks loyalty. GO EASY, MAN
EASY MAN | BRAND IDENTITY, PACKAGING DESIGN
Joe Chura, Go Brewing mastermind, had an idea for a non-alcoholic beer infused with hemp-based Delta 9 and CBD emulsions, that tastes good and exudes a vintage vibe; “this ain’t beer but it tastes like it”. We got to work doing a deep dive into throwback, retro beer cans and discovering the visual vocabulary of old school beer. When thinking about the brand name, Easy Man, a recliner as a brand symbol felt so right. Experience Easy.
AVOCADO OIL: GREEN IS GOLD
JACKSON’S | PACKAGE REDESIGN, CONSUMER TESTING, PHOTOGRAPHY
At Jackson’s, the chip is hero – and is now at the center of the package, creating a bull’s eye with crushable chip photography. Grabbing the opportunity to proudly claim their avocado oil commitment, we redesigned Jackson’s Kettle Chips, with a more insistent logo at the top of the pack. It pairs with the ownable avocado banner creating a repeating smile architecture across the line and linking the brand with the better-for-you (and more delish) ingredient—avocado oil.
LICENSING: A GRAND SLAM OPPORTUNITY
BIG LEAGUE CHEW PROPERTIES | LICENSING GUIDELINES
As a part of a strategy to grow the licensing opportunities for the Big League Chew brand, we helped the brand owners visualize what the brand had to offer licensees – from all ages of the brand, ranging from when it launched in 1980 to now. We defined and clarified the rules around how to use the logo, typography, illustrations and all other brand assets to help foster mutually beneficial relationships.
INDEPENDENT LAWYERS STAND UP
IPI (INDEPENDENT PRACTICE INITIATIVE @ CHICAGO-KENT LAW AT ILLINOIS TECH) | BRAND IDENTITY
Chicago-Kent is the only law school tied to a tech university and they offer a 12-18 month program tailored to Chicago-Kent alumni with valuable experience and ongoing training to help them build their professional careers as solo or small firm legal practitioners. Fostering these independent practices helps keep the ecosystem from caving under the weight of the giant law firms, helps keep legal services more accessible and affordable, and provides an alternate career path for lawyers.
CRAFT TEA FROM WASHINGTON STATE
SEA CHANGE TEA | PACKAGING DESIGN
The only tea farm within 100 miles of Seattle happens to be on a magical island called Orcas Island – Sea Change Tea. Sea Change Tea is bringing small-batch, island grown tea to local markets. Wild harvested mint and fir tips are the only flavorings added. How charming and special is that?!
ACTOR FOUNDER STEALS THE SHOW
Samuel Taylor, founder of Long Table Pancakes, won the SKU pitch slam! SKU is the nation’s leading consumer product accelerator! Congrats to Long Table on the huge win and also on becoming an inaugural member of Regen Brands Coalition. (That’s our packaging, and those are some damn good pancakes!)
SPACESHIP EARTH—INVESTING IN OUR FUTURE
Buckminster Fuller was an architectural designer, inventor, and futurist best known for the geodesic dome. (He was kinda genius). He coined the term “Spaceship Earth” because he felt that humans, like the crew of a large ship, have to work together to keep everything functioning properly. At Seedhouse, we think we’re pulling our weight, but to help offset the reality that we make beautiful trash, we’re part of the 1% for the Planet network and proudly completed our 2nd year together.
