In between those cycles, we occasionally stare at the sun (see above; remember the ‘zone of totality’? We weren’t in it).

Lou Malnati’s, the legendary 53 year old restaurant chain specializing in authentic Chicago deep dish pizza, grew from hole-in-the-wall hero, to local legend, to Midwest icon, to a celebrated national brand with over 80 locations and growing. Rocket Scientists Go Green

Ever wonder what happens to old tires? It’s depressing. Thank goodness some real life rocket scientists figured out a way to reuse and repurpose end-of-life tires. The geniuses at Prism Worldwide have developed a game-changing solution to a growing problem that’s just damn smart; recycling old tires into new products. This is the future; right here, right now! Their first retail product is a rugged, customizable car mat made with 50% recycled tires! ♻️
Blue Ribbon — Hemp Innovation

In another example of just plain smarter living, the brain trust at Dominion Hemp developed an animal bedding product that absorbs 4x its own weight, reduces odors, is low dust and biodegradable! This is a significant improvement over traditional animal bedding options. They’re now in zoos, on farms and in pet cages everywhere. Look for ‘em at farm & fleets, pet stores & online. Here they’re turning heads in the pages of Chicken Whisperer Magazine.
Refreshing the Big Leagues

A roster upgrade in the off-season allowed us to proudly, and respectfully update this iconic bubble gum brand steeped in baseball culture. Big League Chew opted to make the change to better reflect today’s generation of baseball and softball players, fans, and avid consumers. Hey, are you a shredhead? ⚾
HEATING UP THE CHIP AISLE
JACKSON’S | LINE EXTENSION, PACKAGING
Known for their sweet potato chips cooked in avocado oil, Jackson’s is at it again with their new, recently launched line of kettle cooked potato chips… also cooked in avocado oil! We’re excited to see it on shelves at Sendik’s and online.
Remember Tomorrow / Billboards
GO BREWING | BRAND & PACKAGING DESIGN
Driving down I-94 or 294 in Chicago or around town in Columbus, you’ll see Go Brewing’s new billboards—drumming up interest in non-alcoholic beer, driving validation in the market and giving people another reason to reach for Go Brewing brews. Launched in April for Alcohol Awareness Month, Go Brewing is living their values while selling some damn good, award-winning N/A beer.
Mustard Makes the Hot Dog

TBT: We’re hot dog enthusiasts, and stoked to have designed another iconic brand’s packaging; Nathan’s mustard, and the 100th Anniversary package no less! Last week was Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Competition in Coney Island, and a Chicagoan took the 2024 Mustard Belt! And we were reminded of this packaging design project we did for the Nathan’s Famous brand for Gold’s.

This month another Seedhouser will be published (also looking at you, Tim Lapetino!). Outside the office, Ash worked on illustrations for a coloring book with Macmillan Publishers as well as a vintage tattoo-inspired pair of socks with Hank & John Green’s The Good Store.
