A Bullhorn for Strategic Rebuilding
Strong neighborhoods create jobs, provide retail and entertainment options, lift up existing architecture and social bonds — all while providing thriving and sustainable business opportunities. Chicago Neighborhoods Initiatives is building these strong neighborhoods. Our job was to update CNI’s visual brand to mirror their tenacious drive.
Realizing Bold Optimism
CNI puts their history, credibility, awareness and relationships to work to make tangible change. Their bold optimism and vision for some of the city’s toughest neighborhoods were an immediate guide for us as we began to reimagine their brand’s presentation.
During our initial project research, we visited the Pullman District, a neighborhood at the forefront of CNI’s efforts, where their team has successfully ushered in a state-of-the-art factory for the Method brand, along with many other groundbreaking initiatives.
We created a mark that can be seamlessly used across a variety of applications both digital and print, along with a comprehensive brand standards manual that specifies overarching usage for CNI’s photography, color palettes and typography.
We connected with the brilliant team at Seedhouse and collaborated with them to not only recreate our 5 yr old brand, but also to redefine our story. The final deliverables provided CNI with a sense of accomplishment that is reflected through our excitement to share the materials with our partners and stakeholders.
