Shaking Up the Popcorn Aisle
The client’s objective was to incite trial and grow repeat purchase by repositioning the brand and telegraphing family fun. In the sleepy popcorn aisle, an opportunity existed for a brand to lead new growth…and thus the “Captain of fun” was born. Our redesigned brand and packaging system pumped life into the category as a whole. The Kernel Season character took over the whole structure and brought new personality and a sense of play—helping to make family movie nights fun for all. The design was successful across many line extension products, making the brand iconic.
