Albany Park Community Center becomes APCC
Albany Park Community Center won our Chicago Cause 2013 Grant for a full brand strategy and identity design program. They were in a moment of growth where their name no longer fit. The organization offers a spectrum of services city-wide, but their name tied them to a specific neighborhood and had all the baggage associated with “community center”. They weren’t walking and talking like the super, multi-million dollar not-for-profit that they are. We advocated a name change to the acronym and a design update to their logo – a more family-friendly colorful custom type that symbolizes bridging people to a higher ground.
Delivered: Proposed Brand Strategy, Naming & Logo Design
As we toured their organization we were taken by the stained glass windows in one of their buildings. It reflected the diverse communities and offerings encompassed by APCC.
